My girl’s shy, hates to be in front of the camera and really does not like being photographed. She still did a boudoir session and she loved it
I have a 21 year old daughter. She’s shy, hates to be in front of the camera and really does not like being photographed. When I decided to also offer boudoir photography in my studio I asked my other two girls who are 18 and 20 if they like to help me out. The goal was to see how I could communicate with people, how to pose and which way to best help my clients feel good during a session. My 18 and 20 year old daughters are very much into Instagram and photos of themselves so I thought it would be a sure win to practice run my communication skills. Not so much lol. They both declined…. Bugger.
A Boudoir practice run with my beautiful daughter.
I didn’t even ask my eldest as I was sure it would be a big fat NO NO NO. When she came to me and said she like to give it a go I was delighted and really excited to take my communication skills for this test run. Sophie wanted what I like to cal light and airy, with an elegant touch 🙂
She did her own hair and makeup as she likes it subtle and believe me, she did such a great job. My girl came in looking just like herself, beautiful :-). We got cracking straight away and she followed directions so well. We had a few laughs, tried a few things and really got into a groove where she was confident and even looked at the camera.
After we finished up we went straight to upload the photos to my computer. We started to go through them and I was amazed at the results, as was she. The smile on her face was so rewarding and gave me a boost of confidence too. I can do this , 🙂 my camera shy own daughter, who would not bullshit me, LOVED her photos. LOVED how I communicated how to pose and even said…YES mum, you can use the photos for your webpage and blogging.
This is what Sophie had to say 🙂
“I’m so happy with how my photos turned out
I’m normally reserved and super camera shy but immediately felt comfortable during the shoot. Plus the session was really fun and I can’t wait to see my photos in print!”
